Engineering & Management
Swan Hunter has extensive design office facilities with a team of engineers, draughtsmen and technicians skilled in the use of computerised design and production systems, including Autocad 2000, Nupas/Cadmatic and Nestix, providing a unique 3D-modelling and engineering package for CAD/CAE/CAM solutions within marine construction. The new generation software for steel hull construction, piping and outfitting covers the complete scope of shipbuilding activities from basic design through to numerical control of NC-production machines. The design team is also experienced in the utilisation of state-of-the-art modelling techniques including wind tunnel and wave testing.
Our corporate and project management teams have extensive experience in shipbuilding and offshore oil & gas construction projects and employ some of the latest planning, cost control, risk analysis and ERP packages. The Group is ISO 9001:2000 accredited and gives paramount importance to QHSE issues.
